This beautiful Delft 'Fynbos' Kudu sculpture, painted by Cape Town artist Sharon Boonzaier, is inspired by the Far East’s blue patterning used on European delft ceramics and then brought to the Cape by the Dutch settlers in the 1600s. All this infused with the beauty of the Cape’s fynbos – proteas and African wildlife and birds.
The piece is finished with gold leaf and signed by the artist.
No one piece is the same and each unique head is an artwork to behold.
When you order one of these special pieces, you may receive the one in the photo if it is not yet sold, or Sharon will create a new one for you, but slightly different in order to keep each sculpture unique.
The sculpture comes flat-packed with clear instructions on how to assemble and hang as well as a story about the artist.
